Pop star Kelly Clarkson announces Phoenix-area show for next year

PHOENIX — Pop star Kelly Clarkson is bringing her big voice to the Phoenix area next year.

The singer’s Meaning of Life Tour will stop at Gila River Arena in Glendale on Feb 1.

Clarkson is bringing along 15-year-old Brynn Cartelli, whom she coached to victory in the most recent season of “The Voice.”

Tickets, which range from $25 to $85, go on sale to to the general public at 10 a.m. on Sept. 24, the same day the next season of “The Voice” debuts.

Fans can sign up at KellyClarkson.com for access to a presale, which starts Sept. 17 at 10 a.m.

The last time Clarkson hit the road was the Piece by Piece Tour, which stopped at Phoenix’s Ak-Chin Pavilion in 2015.

The singer first came to prominence by winning the first season “American Idol” in 2002.

She’s released seven albums certified as gold or platinum and had three Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits: “A Moment Like This,” “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” and “My Life Would Suck Without You.”

Her latest album, “Meaning of Life,” came out last year.
