PHOENIX – A multi-million dollar redevelopment project at The Shops at Norterra in north Phoenix is close to completion and expected to welcome new tenants later this year.
The site, which previously was home to two retail buildings, stretches across 44,500 square feet.
Formerly, the space was occupied by two retail buildings. New design plans were created to increase the entertainment and dining options in the area.
“We noticed a need in the neighborhood to repurpose existing retail buildings and create a more communal, social area for eating, drinking and gathering in a well-designed, welcoming space,” said Scott Rehorn, a partner with RED Development, which is spearheading the project.
The Shops at Norterra is located on the corner of Happy Valley Road and Interstate 17 near the Harkins Norterra 14 Theater.
Norterra is already home to more than 50 stores including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Victoria’s Secret, Mellow Mushroom, Pita Jungle, Charming Charlie, BevMo!, Anytime Fitness and Braidy Jewelers.
