Multiple cars crash on Loop 101 southbound in Scottsdale

PHOENIX — A multivehicle crash on a Phoenix-area freeway during the end of rush hour slowed commuters Wednesday morning.
Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers were on the scene at Loop 101 southbound near Raintree Drive in Scottsdale.

The freeway remained open but only one lane was in use for about an hour before the accident was cleared.

No other details were immediately available, but traffic cameras showed people standing on the freeway talking. A fire truck and ambulance had also arrived.
