Musicians honor John McCain in tributes, social media

The music entertainment world and politics joined together to honor Sen. John McCain, who passed away Saturday at the age of 81 due to brain cancer.
Country star Brad Paisley took a moment to pay his respects to the former Arizona senator at a concert in Virginia after performing his popular song, “When I Get Where I’m Going.”
Paisley displayed a photo of McCain onto a jumbo screen as fans joined in and captured video of the singer’s tribute and posted on social media.

The three-time Grammy Award winner took to Twitter to thank the senator in a thoughtful message, posting photos from the night of that show.

Legendary songwriter and musician Stevie Wonder received the news about McCain during his concert in Atlantic City and dedicated a song honoring the senator. The 68-year-old singer covered Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are.”
