PHOENIX — One of the top rated steakhouses in the Valley is getting a $1 million plus renovation adding 2,000 square feet of space to its uptown Phoenix location.
Steak 44, located near the corner of Camelback Road and 44th Street, has acquired the space next door to the restaurant to make improvements to the kitchen and dining spaces, while also adding a butcher shop.
The new dining space will fit nearly 80 more seats, including a dining bar. As apposed to the main bar, the dining bar will accept reservations in advance upon completion, which is scheduled for Jan. 2019.
CEO and co-founder Jeff Mastro used designs that worked for him at recently opened locations in Houston and Chicago when deciding what additions would work best at the site.
“We are always looking for ways to improve and elevate our guests’ experience at Steak 44,” Mastro said.
“Advancements in food safety and quality are always evolving and improving, this is why we are excited about the new version of our butcher shop as well.”
Steak 44 opened in Phoenix in April 2014 and was marketed as an “upscale urban oasis that boasts a vibrant bar, glass expo kitchen, intimate dining suites and many dining rooms featuring unique architectural detail.”
“Anything that helps to bring our guests a better product is top on our list,” Mastro said.
The space used for the renovation used to be occupied by Orange Theory Fitness.
