PHOENIX — Three people, including one child, were injured in a car accident in central Phoenix that involved five people on Monday night.

Capt. Kenny Overton with the Phoenix Fire Department said in an email that the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. in the area of 15th and Oak streets.

The three people who were injured were transported in stable condition to local trauma facilities.

The other two people involved in the accident declined ambulance transportation.

One of the injured needed to be extricated from the vehicle.

Overton said another car crash occurred in Phoenix shortly after that one.
