PHOENIX — Authorities were investigating a body found floating at a Phoenix-area lake Thursday.
A woman kayaking at Saguaro Lake called 911 after spotting a head in the water near the boat ramp.
Maricopa County Lake Patrol deputies responded and recovered the body of male.
No other information was immediately available.
Saguaro Lake is a Salt River reservoir located around 40 miles northeast of downtown Phoenix, east of the Bush Highway, in the Tonto National Forest.
It’s a popular recreation spot for boating, fishing and other activities.
Earlier this month, a man drowned at another area lake. On Aug. 5, a sheriff’s office dive team pulled the body of a 42-year-old drowning victim out of Lake Pleasant, north of Phoenix.
