PHOENIX — Thousands of people have fallen in love with Mo, an Arizona dog who “screams” like a person.

A compilation video of Mo “screaming” from various locations has gone viral on Facebook, garnering more than 38 million views in just a couple of weeks.

“When the most affectionate pit bull wandered up to this woman in a park, she quickly realized that she had to have him — and that he’s VERY vocal,” the Facebook post from Pittie Nation read.

“Today on Pittie Nation, watch how Mo surprised his mom with his signature scream, which makes everyone he meets realize that pitties are such goofballs.”

Kristin Allen, Mo’s owner, said in the video that there is a difference between some of his screams.

“I think it mostly sounds like a velociraptor scream,” she said. “Other times, it sounds like a woman screaming.

“And then other times he does these chirping things that make him sound like a bird.”

Allen said in the video that she found Mo about a year ago, after she saw him sitting in her cul-de-sac in Flagstaff.

She brought Mo to a nearby animal shelter in case he had a family looking for him, but adopted him after no one came for him in a couple of days.

Allen said Mo’s “scream” is his way of getting attention.

“The first time he did his scream, he saw another dog and we all looked at each other like, ‘What was that?!'” she said.

She said she was unsure whether the “scream” was a sign of aggression, but quickly realized that it was not.

Now, more than 57,000 people are following along with Mo’s loud journey on his Instagram, @mothescreamingstaffy.

👱🏻‍♀️ and I are overwhelmed with such joy by the outpouring of love, solidarity and support for pitties by so many of you from all over the world. We have enjoyed reading your stories and watching your videos of your beloved pups, and so happy to hear that we have even inspired some to consider adopting (a pittie!). This has truly been more than we could have ever anticipated or asked for, and we will work hard to continue advocating for pitties everywhere by supporting shelters, advocating for adoptables, being patrons of vendors that support rescues, educating the public on responsible pittie ownership, and more! Thank you for joining us on this journey and in our efforts to spread pittie love everywhere!!! 50k!!! Wow!!!!!!!!
