PHOENIX — School is back in session for most Valley kids, but they’ve got one last chance to splash around in downtown Phoenix this weekend.

CityScape’s H2Oasis water park will be open Saturday for a last hurrah. The area around Central Avenue and Patriots Park will be filled with 10 inflatable slides, a splash pad and shady spots.

The temporary park made its debut last year and returned this year in partnership with the Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA.

“After the success we had surrounding H2Oasis in its inaugural year, we wanted to bring it back in a way that would impact the local community,” Sara Anderson, a spokeswoman for the development, said in a statement.

“We are able to create a fun environment for the kids who are out of school while also teaching families important lessons that will keep them safe around water. It’s really a win-win for everyone.”

The YMCA water safety program includes 40-minute lessons for the children.

The park will be open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. A donation minimum of $5 per person has been set.

The money will be donated to the water safety program.

We want to hear from you.
