PHOENIX — A major Country music star announced Wednesday that she would be touring in the Phoenix area — but fans should not get too excited, as she will not perform until next year.

Country star Carrie Underwood will perform at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on May 9, 2019.

The seven-time Grammy winner will play 55 arenas across the United States and Canada as part of her “Cry Pretty Tour 360.”

But that was not the only news Underwood had for her fans: She announced she is expecting baby No. 2 with husband Mike Fisher. The couple already has a 3-year-old boy, Isaiah Michael.

But Underwood will have some different guests with her on tour: She will be joined by special guests Maddie & Tae and Runaway June.

The “360” part of the tour includes a brand-new stage in the middle of the arena floor, which will create a “unique 360-degree setting to allow fans on all sides of the arena an intimate view of the concert,” a press release read.

“I love performing in the round,” Underwood said in a statement.

“It’s so much fun for me and the band to play in every direction and creates a much more intimate and immersive experience for the audience, even in a larger arena setting.”

The tour will kick off at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina on May 1 and wrap up at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Oct. 31.

It will celebrate her newest album, “Cry Pretty,” which will be launched on Sept. 14.

The album will be Underwood’s first on Capitol Records Nashville and will be the first time she has co-produced her own album.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Arizona time on Aug. 17. $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to Danita’s Children, a charity that provides a safe haven for abandoned and vulnerable children in Haiti.

We want to hear from you.
