“We are proud to grow our commitment and bring even more low fares to the area,” Jonathan Freed, Frontier’s director of corporate communications, said in a statement.
“We appreciate the ongoing support of the airport and the community at large, and we’re proud to serve Phoenix with some of the lowest fares in the industry and a great travel experience.”
Deborah Ostreicher, an aviation assistant at Sky Harbor, told KTAR News 92.3 FM that the airport is “really excited about having five new nonstop flights to these cities.
“These are five cities we do not have nonstop service to. So this is really great,” Ostreicher said.
Flights to these destinations would only be offered at certain days and times:
• Fort Myers: Flights will be offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays starting Nov. 15
• Grand Rapids: Flights will be offered on Mondays and Fridays starting Nov. 16
• Madison: Flights will be offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting Nov. 17
• Norfolk: Flights will be offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting Nov. 17
To celebrate these new routes, Frontier is offering special introductory fares on one-way trips for as low as $59.
But you better act fast: Those fares must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Aug. 9. The travel is only valid on Mondays through Wednesdays between Nov. 15 and Feb. 13.
