Car driver killed after hitting a bus stopped at an intersection

PHOENIX — A crash involving a small sedan and a bus resulted in the death of the sedan driver, according to police.
The car, traveling west on 40th Street and Southern Avenue, hit a bus that was stopped at the intersection around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, said Sgt. Mercedes Fortune, Phoenix Police Department spokesperson.
The driver of the sedan was a woman believed to be 30 to 40 years old.
There was nobody else in the car.
There was one passenger on the bus. Neither that person nor the driver were injured.
