Surprise man shot by repairman Friday afternoon, police say

PHOENIX — A Surprise man was shot and killed by a repairman during an altercation Friday afternoon, police said.
Investigators are unclear what created the incident, said Sgt. Tim Klarkowski, Surprise Police Department spokesperson.
The repairman was called to the home near Citrus Road and Grand Avenue, but “at some point, an altercation ensued,” the police report said. It is being investigated as a homicide.
The suspect was taken into police custody without incident.
