PHOENIX — National Donut Day is long gone, but another excuse to indulge in a delicious, fried treat will be here before you know it.

The first-annual Downtown Donut Festival will be held at Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 18.

The festival will bring together more than 15 local donut shops, which will serve $1 donuts, samples of donuts, donut holes and “all manner of donut creations.”

Attendees can also purchase mimosas, craft beer, wine for $6 or water and soda for $3 and $2, respectively. Drink purchases will be cash only, while donuts can be purchased with cash or card. There will be an ATM on-site.

They can also partake in lawn games and listen to tunes from live bands. Children can also try their hand at decorating paper donuts in a craft zone that will “round out the fun,” while their parents can browse gifts from local business vendors.

Arizona Foodie, a local food blogger and social media influencer, has partnered with the festival to make the event the sweetest (no pun intended) it could be. Downtown Phoenix, Inc. will also be part of the festival as a charity beneficiary.

Tickets for the festival are available online for $8, while children under the age of 5 are free. Service dogs and dogs under 25 pounds are also allowed, as long as they are on a leash.

The festival will be held rain or shine and “being glazed over is allowed,” according to the website. Parking will be free and available around the park. Those who want to take the Valley Metro light rail will have stops within one block of the event.

And if you are looking to warm up your stomach ahead of the big day, check out the Phoenix-area spots that we highlighted for National Donut Day. Hurts Donuts in Tempe will also offer a pay-your-age special on Monday, where guests can pay their age for a delicious treat.

We want to hear from you.
