PHOENIX — Authorities believe a missing California man who suffers from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease is traveling in Arizona.

Herbert Casey Sr. was last seen leaving his home in Monterey County, California, around 3 p.m. on Saturday.

He left in his 2014 dark blue GMC pick-up truck with a California license plate, 85818M1.

Casey Sr., 90, is described as a white male with grey hair and hazel eyes. He is 5’10” tall and weighs about 190 pounds.

He is believed to be wearing khaki-type pants with slip-on boots, orange shirt, western belt and grey baseball cap with the lettering “DAV” on it.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said Casey Sr. made statements before he left that he was “headed home” to Alabama. Officials believe he was heading eastbound on the Interstate 10.

Anyone who knows of Casey Sr.’s whereabouts is encouraged to call 911 or the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office at 831-769-8895.

Update: Casey was located in California on Sunday night.
