PHOENIX – KTAR News 92.3 FM and 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station are teaming up with ABC15 Arizona to produce the most comprehensive local news and sports coverage in the state.
As part of a content and promotional partnership announced Friday, the stations will share news, weather and sports content beginning July 9.
“An unwavering commitment to journalistic integrity and a mutual commitment to our community made aligning with ABC15 an easy decision,” Scott Sutherland, vice president/market manager for Bonneville Phoenix, which operates the radio stations, said in a news release.
“We look forward to many years of innovation and collaboration.”
As part of the arrangement, KTAR will start broadcasting ABC15’s weather forecasts, and the TV station will carry commentary from the radio stations’ personalities.
“Strong local journalism and a dedication to making Arizona an even better place to live are shared values of our two organizations,” Anita Helt, ABC15 vice-president and general manager, said in the release.
“I’m excited to introduce their popular personalities to our viewers and extend our trusted ABC15 coverage to an even broader radio audience.”
