PHOENIX — Eight Arizona restaurants, including six in the Phoenix area, made a list of the country’s best spots for outdoor dining.
El Chorro and Lon’s at The Hermosa in Paradise Valley, Olive & Ivy and Cafe Monarch in Scottsdale, Gertrude’s in Phoenix and Tonto Bar & Grill in Cave Creek were named to the 2018 list of the 100 best al fresco restaurants by OpenTable, an online reservation service.
The list was generated using more than 12 million verified diner reviews on the website for more than 27,000 restaurants.
According to the results, only three states — California (30), Florida (26) and Hawaii (10) — have more dining choices than Arizona that offer the right combination of gorgeous views, delicious food and unique outdoor dining experiences.
“These restaurants offer friendly service and the ideal ambiance for diners looking to enjoy the warm weather and soak up the best sights of summer,” Caroline Potter, OpenTable’s chief dining officer, said in a news release.
Sedona’s Mariposa and Tucson’s Wildflower also made the grade.
