PHOENIX – The Churchill in downtown Phoenix has announced the locally-owned tenants that will inhabit the unique marketplace, which is expected to open this summer.
Made out of old shipping containers, construction for the one-of-a-kind marketplace began in November near Roosevelt Street and Central Avenue.
Co-founders Keller Duncan and Hartley Rodie said the 10 tenants would cater to the culture of the nearby Evans Churchill neighborhood, at the time announcing that Freak Brothers Pizza, Cosas and Pobrecito would be opening new locations once the project was complete.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the remaining list of tenants have been announced, with a total of seven bars and restaurants and three shops.
“It’s an eclectic, impressive tenant mix, and as we intended when creating the space, everyone brings something very different to the table,” Duncan said in a statement.
An official opening date for each location has not been announced.
Confirmed tenants at the Churchill:
Breadwinner – a restaurant concept by Culinary Mafia Group
Pedal Haus Brewery – the Tempe-based brewery’s second location
Pobrecito – a new cocktail bar
Provecho – a restaurant offering cuisine from Central Mexico
Freak Brothers Pizza – originally started as a food truck but will open it’s first non-mobile location at the Churchill
Foxy Fruit – a health-conscious spot that offers smoothies and acai bowls
Sauvage – a bottle shop offering wines at an approachable price
State Forty Eight – a local lifestyle brand
Cosas – a boutique that offers the work of local artisans from Mexico
Gather – a home and lifestyle retail shop
