PHOENIX — Two different sections of one Phoenix-area highway will be closed overnight during the weekend of May 11, according to The Arizona Department of Transportation.
The northbound Loop 202 will be closed between Elliot and Guadalupe roads in east Mesa from 10 p.m. on Friday to 9 a.m. on Saturday.
This closure will allow crews to install traffic-management technology, including traffic-flow sensors and ADOT cameras.
Drivers can exit the highway at Elliot Road and use northbound Ellsworth Road to westbound Guadalupe Road to get back on the highway.
The westbound Loop 202 will also be closed between Power and Higley roads from 10 p.m. on Saturday to 9 a.m. on Sunday for the installation of traffic-management technology.
The on-ramps at Hawes Road and State Route 24 will also be closed.
Drivers can take westbound Elliot or Ray roads to Higley Road to access the highway.
Westbound Interstate 10 will also be narrowed to one lane overnight between 43rd and 59th avenues in west Phoenix from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights.
This closure will allow crews to work on a bridge at the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange.
