PHOENIX — Camelback East was the most popular neighborhood in the city of Phoenix for the first part of 2018, according to a recent analysis by a real estate website.

Zillow, an online real estate marketplace, came up with its rankings based on the areas with the most page views per listing from Jan. 1 to March 31.

Camelback East, an east Phoenix neighborhood that ranges from Papago Park to the Phoenix Mountains Preserve, garnered 1,987 views per listing. The median list price there was $434,999.

The typical U.S. home got 365 page views.

“Real estate shoppers are usually very aspirational, so it’s no surprise we have a lot of shoppers looking outside of where they can likely afford and instead, looking at beautiful homes in desirable areas,” Aaron Terrazas, Zillow senior economist, said in a news release.

Ahwatukee Foothills, where the media listing was for $349,900, was close behind Camelback East with 1,923 page views. Third-place Paradise Valley, at 1,909, was the only other Phoenix neighborhood with more than 1,900 page views per listing.

The rest of the top 10 in Phoenix was No. 4 Encanto (1,852 page views per listing), No. 5 Central City (1,784), No. 6 North Gateway (1,757), No. 7 Deer Valley (1,650), No. 8 South Mountain (1,622), No. 9 Laveen (1,617) and No. 10 Rio Vista (1,562).

However, no Phoenix neighborhoods cracked the top 20 in the United States.

The Oaks in Calabasas, California, a Los Angeles suburb, was determined to be the most popular neighborhood. The median list price in The Oaks was $3.7 million.

Listings in The Oaks were clicked on an average of nearly 13,000 times.

Thirteen neighborhoods in the top 20 were in California.
