PHOENIX – If you are looking to find the best college town in Arizona, you may want to take a trip up Interstate 17.
Flagstaff was recently named by Cheat Sheet as one of the best college towns to visit in America.
Home to Northern Arizona University, students are presented with a wide range of weather patterns not found at other universities in the state.
From extreme heat to icy winters, each season presents students a variety of activities to enjoy the northern Arizona city.
Flagstaff is home to over 700 acres of National Parks, as well as over 50 miles of hiking and cycling trails. But for those looking to hit the slopes, Arizona Snowbowl is a short drive away from the center of campus.
When the snow stops falling and temperatures start to heat up, students and visitors can attend some of the state’s most diverse festivals, such as the Hopi Festival of Arts and Culture, the Flagstaff Festival of Science, and the 3-day music festival Pickin’ in the Pines.
One of the more unique destinations Flagstaff has to offer is Lowell Observatory, which is famous for its “unrivaled” stargazing.
