PHOENIX — Discounted lift tickets, live music, a DJ dance-off and food and drink specials were the parting offerings from Arizona Snowbowl as the mountain closes for the summer.

The final day to ski the mountain will be April 22. Daily operations stopped on the mountain on March 26, but it remained open on weekends through April.

The ski facility near Flagstaff was wrapping up its 80th season with spring-break discounts on lift tickets. Lift ticket prices have been lowered to $29. The regular price was $79 for an all-day adult pass and $59 for an afternoon pass.

They were also offering a lodging special, which includes two lift tickets and one night’s stay for $59.

The extended season was a welcome development after a lack of snowfall pushed the opening of the mountain back by one week in November.

Last year, Arizona Snowbowl remained open through May 7 after reporting a record 328 inches of snow.

Despite rising temperatures in the state, Snowbowl posted this video of skiers and snowboarders enjoying the remaining snow.

They will be hosting a costume party with live music from RX4Rock, a band that specializes in classic blues and rock.

According to the Arizona Snowbowl website, conditions on the mountain are still favorable for certain trails.

We want to hear from you.
