PHOENIX — Arizona Coyotes forward Richard Panik was arrested for trespassing after allegedly refusing to leave a Scottsdale nightclub earlier this month.
Sgt. Ben Hoster with Scottsdale Police Department told KTAR News 92.3 FM that Panik was disturbing the people who were working at the entrance of Bevvy.
Panik, 27, appeared to be intoxicated and ignored a police officer’s request that he leave, Hoster said.
Panik was arrested around 8:50 p.m. on April 8 and was booked into Scottsdale City Jail. He was later released on a criminal citation.
“We are aware of the incident and are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation. We will have no further comment at the present time,” the Coyotes said in a statement.
Panik was traded to the Coyotes from the Chicago Blackhawks in January for forward Anthony Duclair and defenseman Adam Clendening.
