This jelly bean flavor is the favorite for Arizona candy lovers
PHOENIX — It turns out that jelly beans are not only for the Easter holiday.
That’s right, National Jelly Bean Day is a real thing, and it falls on Sunday.
In honor of the special day, the Candy Store used surveys and dug up over 10 years of sales data on jelly beans to find out which flavors were most popular around the country.
And Arizona’s favorite jelly bean might not be what you expect: Buttered popcorn was the state’s most popular flavor of jelly bean.
Cinnamon and juicy pear jelly beans were ranked second and third by the state.
Arizona’s top three favorite flavors were similar to the top flavors nationwide, which were buttered popcorn, black licorice and cinnamon.
And if you want to get some jelly beans to celebrate, you will have no problem: There are more than 60 stores in the Phoenix area that sell the candy.
You can use the store locator on the Jelly Belly website to find your closest location.
However, if you’re looking for something with more of an Arizona touch, you can check out the rock candy jelly beans that the Arizona Sun offers.
