PHOENIX — An Italian restaurant chain will be donating the profits from all eight of its Valley locations to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital to celebrate the opening of a new Scottsdale location this month.

Babbo Italian Eatery will be donating all of its profits on April 19 to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the restaurant will also be matching donations.

Babbo will also make an additional donation to the Salt River Community Children’s Foundation.

“We are thrilled to partner with Babbo, who truly understands the importance of supporting our community’s children,” said Steve Schnall, senior vice president and chief development officer of Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“The funds raised from this one day will have a direct impact on the patient care and provide hope for sick and injured children,” he said.

Babbo Italian Eatery was a family-owned restaurant that opened its first location in 2002 in Glendale. The menu featured Italian classics and contemporary dishes like spaghetti and meatballs and Neapolitan-style pizzas.

The new location will be near Talking Stick Way and Pima Road. It will be a 6,000-square-foot location that will accommodate 263 guests that will feature intimate and family seating as well as a full bar.
