PHOENIX — Celebrities and guests gathered Saturday to celebrate the 24th annual Celebrity Fight Night, a charity event honoring Muhammad Ali’s legacy.

The event supported the Alzheimer’s and Memory Disorders Program at Barrow Neurological Institute as well as other charities.

It honored medical researchers, philanthropists and public safety heroes while it featured performances from a wide range of award-winning musicians.

Officer Tom McGrath and Jonathon Smith were honored at the event with a presentation for the bravery they showed during the Las Vegas shooting that took place in November. Lonnie Ali presented the two with the Muhammad Ali Unsung Hero Award.

Ali also announced the organization’s initiatives to further their work on fighting neurological diseases.

There was a cocktail reception, silent auction, a dinner and a live auction on the night of the event. Some of the items during the live auction included a trip to Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler’s private estate in Maui and an international trip of the bidder’s choice with Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

There were performances from Smokey Robinson, Brian McKnight, “America’s Got Talent’s” Angelica Hale and many more.

Steven Tyler capped off the night by performing with his Nashville band, Loving Mary. Together they played a number of hits including “Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” and “Walk This Way.”

We want to hear from you.
