PHOENIX — A West Valley school was put on lockdown for a short time Tuesday morning while officers searched for a suspect nearby, police said.
The Goodyear Police Department said Desert Star School, located near Estrella and Lower Buckeye parkways, was on lockdown. It was lifted about 8:45 a.m.
The suspect was arrested. His or her name was not released.
Officers were tracking the suspect with K-9 and a helicopter.
Police didn’t say why they were looking for the unidentified suspect, only that the person ran from officers.
