‘Incredibles 2’ trailer drops and Mr. Incredible has a fancy new job

Feb 15, 2018, 5:59 PM

Fans received their first look at “The Incredibles 2” on Wednesday during NBC’s Olympic coverage.

Disney shared new footage that shows the superheroic Parr family, which includes Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) and Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) and their children, Violet (Sarah Vowell), Dashiell “Dash,” (Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack.

Much of the trailer is familiar territory, as it shows Jack-Jack’s growing powers — he might have some Hulk-like abilities, as you’ll see in the trailer — and Elastigirl gaining the attention of her peers.

And, as Vox reported, the trailer gives Mr. Incredible a new job: stay-at-home dad.

The film, which will also star Bob Odenkirk as a mysterious character. Samuel L. Jackson will also star in the film as Frozone, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Brad Bird-directed film debuts on June 15.

Disney/Pixar released its first teaser for the new film back in November. That glimpse similarly showed Jack-Jack learning about his new powers.

The teaser became the No. 1 trending video on YouTube with more than 11 million views, according to the Deseret News.
