PHOENIX — A mobile application that delivers groceries, electronics and other essentials to your door has partnered with Target and will soon begin same-day delivery in the Phoenix area.

According to a press release, Shipt, a self-described “leading online grocery marketplace” will begin delivering goods from Target stores in the Phoenix area.

The Phoenix area is one of 12 cities across the nation that will get this delivery service. The other cities include Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Austin and San Antonio.

“The addition of Target stores to Shipt’s online marketplace across the Southwest allows us to deliver on our promise to offer quality products at great prices by making Target’s wide assortment available to our dedicated members,” said Bill Smith, founder and CEO of Shipt.

“We know Shipt members in the Southwest will enjoy the convenience of having their Target run delivered within an hour by our growing community of Shipt shoppers who are known for offering personalized, highly-tailored service.”

This new partnership will reach 8.5 million households, which will now be able to get Target products delivered to their door in as little as an hour.

As part of the partnership, Shipt is also looking to hire more than 3,000 shoppers throughout the Southwest.

Shipt already delivers goods from Fry’s in the Phoenix area.

Users can place their order through the Shipt app, then shoppers pick up the items and deliver them to your door.

A Shipt annual membership is typically $99, but in honor of this partnership, new members can receive the same membership for $49.
