PHOENIX — Delta Airlines will begin daily service from Phoenix Sky Harbor International to Cincinnati in the fall, the carrier announced Monday.
The flight will leave Phoenix’s main airport starting Nov. 4.
“With these additions, customers in Cincinnati and northern Kentucky will have more choices to go to the top business and leisure destinations that are important to them, and we look forward to continuing this growth,” Eric Phillips, a senior vice president for Delta, said in a statement posted on the website.
The airline also added a daily flight to Austin, Texas, noting that with the latest two routes, it will serve “all top 20 domestic markets.”
Delta had previously offered connecting service between Sky Harbor and the Cincinnati area.
It joins Frontier and Allegiant (out of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport) as the only nonstops to the airport in Covington, Kentucky, which is right across the Ohio River from Cincinnati.
The flight will leave Phoenix at 5 p.m. Arizona time. The return flight from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International will take off at 7:30 a.m.
