There are a lot of stolen guns and ammunition out there and a big reward for the capture of the thieves.

On Sunday morning, Dec. 10, 2017, three suspects broke into Legendary Guns near 19th Avenue and Camelback Road.

“The firearms range from antique to modern-day firearms — both handguns and long guns,” Phoenix Police Sgt. Jamie Rothschild said.

There was a dark-colored sports car seen nearby.

“There are two separate rewards in this case,” Rothschild said.

“Up to $1,000 from Silent Witness for information leading to an arrest and up to $5,000 from the [Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives] and the National Shooting Sports Foundation for information leading to a conviction.”

Our next case takes us to a parking garage at Fifth and Fillmore streets in downtown Phoenix.

Rothschild said a bunch of teenagers have been getting their thrills by doing felony criminal damage to the place at least 40 times since January 2017.  They’ve broken the glass of more than 15 fire extinguisher cabinets.

“They’re taking the fire extinguishers, which are there for a legitimate purpose, and they’re using them to just create havoc.”

They’re also egging the elevators, skateboarding around and throwing stuff from the roof of the garage. There are a lot of good surveillance pictures, so parents, you ought to take a good look.
