The end of Thanksgiving is nearly here: The oven is cooling down, the football games are almost wrapped up and the leftovers are almost put away — if there were any left in the first place.
But while the holiday has almost wrapped up, the weekend is just getting started.
Here are some fun-filled events to attend with your family over the holiday weekend.
Arizona International Auto Show
Are you a car lover? The 2018 Arizona International Autoshow might tickle your taste buds this weekend after all that turkey.
The show will feature the latest 2018 models at the Phoenix Convention Center. Adult tickets for anyone 13 and older are $11, while children ages 7 to 12 are $7 and those who are 6 and under are free.
The Arizona International Autoshow will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Let it snow
Snow? In the desert?
That’s exactly what is going on every night from Monday up until New Year’s Eve at Tempe Marketplace. Flakes of white snow will fall from the sky then disappear without a trace.
The best part? Not having to shovel it out of your driveway. (Score!)
The “snow” will fall at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. every night until Dec. 31.
Holiday ice skating at CitySkate, Westgate
With expected record highs on the horizon, the CitySkate Outdoor Holiday Ice Rink in downtown Phoenix should get you in the Christmas spirit in no time.
CitySkate has events scheduled starting Friday until Jan. 7.
The skate rink will be open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday through Sunday.
Skaters can purchase an online express pass, which will allow you to skip any lines, for $30. General admission is $15 for both children and adults, but children 8 and under are $10 and kids under the age of 3 are free.
For those in the West Valley, Skate Westgate has opened in Glendale. Skaters can hit the ice seven days a week until Jan. 7.
Skate rentals range from $11 for adults and children who bring their own skates or $15 for skate rental. Military and toddlers can rent skates for $11 and a season pass goes for $99.
Westgate will also host nightly snowfall shows at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
An Irish Christmas at Orpheum Theater
Sit back and relax at Phoenix’s Orpheum Theater for a production of “An Irish Christmas,” a show that features award-winning Irish dancers and celebrates with traditional music from Ireland.
The show will take place on Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase from $23 to $58.
Zoo Lights: Let It Glow
Let the Phoenix Zoo light up your holiday weekend with Zoo Lights: Let It Glow. The attraction features millions of lights that light up the night sky and also includes a three-story lighted tree and hundreds of displays.
The Zoo Lights will be available to the public from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. from Thursday until Jan. 14.
