PHOENIX — October was a big month for real estate in the Valley: Two Phoenix-area homes sold for more than $7 million each.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the homes in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale sold for a total of $15.65 million.
The Paradise Valley house sold for $8.65 million. The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home is located near Invergordon and Doubletree Ranch roads.
To call the home a humble abode would be an insult to architect Clay Scrivner. The 11,700-square-foot house sits on nearly 1.5 acres in a gated estate with views of Mummy Mountain.
The home’s design blends that of a quaint French cottage with plenty of modern accents throughout, including a glass-enclosed greenhouse just off an office area.
Its curving hallway — lined on one side by French doors — give an excellent view of the home’s massive backyard that includes a big pool and numerous seating areas for guests.
The second home, located in the prestigious Silverleaf neighborhood in the mountains near Pinnacle Peak and Pima roads, sold for $7 million.
The 11,397-square-foot home has six beds and nine bathrooms.
Inside, a chef’s kitchen awaits along with a full wine cellar in the home’s basement. There are also fitness and game rooms.
Outside, the home has a large pool and spa and three areas made for changing into swimwear.
Oh, and don’t forget about the amazing views of Scottsdale that come with the property.
