PHOENIX — Let’s face it: Flying in and out of airports all day can really take a lot out of you.
Dropping off your heavy luggage at bag check, waiting in seemingly never-ending lines for security, running to your gate, all the while making sure you won’t miss your flight? Talk about working up an appetite.
And nothing sounds less appealing when you’re hungry than paying $10 for a soggy sandwich that has been sitting in a temperature-controlled box for 12 hours.
But for those who are traveling through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, there’s another option: Blanco Tacos + Tequila was recently ranked the best restaurant in the airport, according to Thrillist.
Blanco Tacos serves — you guessed it — tacos and other types of Mexican food, including burritos.
In fact, according to Thrillist, “the best airport burrito in the country is at the small window attached to one of the valley’s best Mexican eateries.”
“If you’ve got more than a few minutes, the fajitas are among the best you’ll have, period, airport or not. And if you’re the type who likes to catch a buzz before catching a flight, the margarita menu is better than most Mexican restaurants’,” the publication said.
Blanco Tacos is located in Terminal 4, the airport’s largest terminal, and is open seven days a week. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
