KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. Stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• A local eatery is raising money for breast cancer awareness. Through the end of the month, CM2 Pizzeria and Bake Shop will donate a dollar for every cookie sold to Singleton Moms, a nonprofit that helps single parents who are battling cancer. The Italian-food restaurant is near Shea Boulevard and 136th Street in Scottsdale.

• Panda Express is hosting its first nationwide career day at six Valley restaurants Wednesday. The Phoenix Business Journal reports the Asian fast-food chain plans to hire 500 workers.

• Allied Universal is holding a hiring event Wednesday for seasonal and part-time security officers. The job fair runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the office near Central Avenue and Thomas Road.
