Child killed, six others injured in rollover accident on I-10

PHOENIX — A child was killed in a rollover freeway accident on the Interstate 10 west of Phoenix early Tuesday morning.
According to Quentin G. Mehr, a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, four other children and two adults were also injured in the wreck, which occurred on the I-10 east between Quartzsite and Tonopah.
Three medical helicopters transported victims from the site where the SUV was heavily damaged but upright.
Two of the children and a woman suffered minor injuries. Another child’s injuries were considered more serious.
No identities were released.
