KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. Stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• Gregg Murset, founder of Phoenix-based Busykid.com, is offering $10 worth of stock for free to help get young kids interested in personal finance and investing. Stock choices include Nike, Amazon and Apple.

• There’s a job fair coming up for veterans, service members and family members. Monday is the last day to register to be prematched for interviews at the Nov. 10 event. All eligible job seekers have to do is go online to create their profile, upload or create a resume to be matched with an employer.

• Phoenix-based Axolotl Biologix has been awarded a nearly $225,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health. The money will be used for the research and development of a wound-healing device for chronic wounds in patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers.
