PHOENIX — Another music festival is coming to the Phoenix area. The inaugural Innings Festival, thrown by the organizers of Lollapalooza, will come to Tempe Beach Park next year.

The festival, set to be held March 23-25, will bring together music, baseball, food, activities and appearances by professional baseball players.

Thirty-six artists — from genres like rock, pop and alternative country — will play on three different stages.

Baseball fans from Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Texas will also get a taste of home at this music festival, when their teams come to Arizona to play in spring training.

Information on ticket prices or the music lineup are not available yet — but from the website, the festival looks promising.

The park is near Rio Salado Parkway and Mill Avenue.

This is the second “first-ever” music festival held in the Phoenix area in less than a year.

The Lost Lake Festival will premiere next week in Phoenix. Lost Lake will be thrown by the same creators of Bonnaroo, one of the nation’s largest music festivals.

It will be held at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix and featured dozens of music acts, local food vendors and games.
