Main Street Minute: Phoenix plumbing company giving back to military

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. Stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.
• Phoenix-based Forrest Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning will donate and install a new air conditioning unit for a local veteran. Nominate active duty personnel, including National Guard members or even a military family for the giveaway. Deadline is Oct. 16.
• The Phoenix Zoo is offering guests 21 and over $10 tickets for Thursday evening to stroll select zoo trails all while enjoying craft brews, wine and food. The Roars and Pours happy hour runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• There’s a big hiring event in the East Valley set for IT professionals Thursday. The job fair runs from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Tempe Center for the Arts near Rio Salado Parkway and Priest Drive.
