Main Street Minute: Kneaders Bakery continues cookie sale for cancer fight

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. Stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.
• All 14 Kneaders Bakery and Cafe locations across the Valley are selling elephant-shaped sugar cookies and other items for the Hope Fights Childhood Cancer campaign. Most of the proceeds will benefit the Huntsman Cancer Institute. The sale ends Saturday.
• The East Valley Institute of Technology is offering adults tuition-free career training while earning their GED through its new trades academy. Career training options include health care, culinary arts, transportation and manufacturing. GED-prep classes start Oct. 2.
• Scottsdale-based Axon says it has received orders for over 8,300 Tasers from federal, state and local law enforcement agencies across the country. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has ordered over 200 Tasers.
