PHOENIX — An Arizona congressman was arrested Tuesday during an immigration protest outside Trump Tower in New York City.
Video from the protest scene showed U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) being escorted in handcuffs to a police van. Someone speaking over a loudspeaker was heard saying those being arrested would be charged with disorderly conduct.

Numerous other people were also arrested.
Durkin said Grijalva and others were arrested because they were sitting in the street outside of the tower, which has been the scene of many anti-President Donald Trump protests.
Tuesday’s protest was against Trump’s decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. Grijalva condemned the president’s decision in a video message earlier this month.
The protest was held hours after Trump wrapped up a speech to the United Nations in New York City.
