Main Street Minute: Phoenix Zoo hiring full-timers in several departments

• The Phoenix Zoo is hiring for full-time openings in accounting, IT, family programs and ZooLights technician. Applications are being accepted online.
• The Scottsdale City Council recently voted in favor of spending nearly $1 million on improvements to Scottsdale Stadium. The reconstruction includes work to the outfield parking lot and expansion and modification of practice fields. The stadium is the Cactus League home of the San Francisco Giants.
• More than a dozen companies are seeking diversity in bilingual and professional candidates at a Tuesday job fair. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Phoenix Marriott Tempe at the Buttes near 48th Street and Broadway Road. Participating employers include Bank of the West, Grainger and Freeport-McMoRan.
