SpaceX publishes video of multiple orbital rocket booster fails
As the old saying goes, “try and try again.”
For Elon Musk and SpaceX, they have been taking that phrase to heart.
In a recent video titled “How Not to Land an Orbital Rocket Booster,” SpaceX shows its viewers just how hard it can be to remotely land a rocket. On a small platform. In the ocean.
Dating back to September of 2013, the video goes through the trials and tribulations of making a rocket not only land, but also keeping it from exploding after it touches down.
And while attempt after attempt ended up in explosions to start, there were improvements throughout, including a successful landing on the ground in 2015 and another on the platform in the ocean in 2016 at the end of the video.
