PHOENIX — Taco lovers, unite! The annual Arizona Taco Festival is back and it’s kicking off in Scottsdale next month.

The 8th Annual Arizona Taco Festival will be held at the Salt River Fields in Scottsdale on Oct. 14 and 15. More than 100 varieties of tacos will be available for people to feast on for two days straight — and for $2 a piece.

About 50 local restaurants, including Dos Gringos, El Hefe and Wasted Grain, will be on-hand providing guests with margaritas, beers and other types of beverages. There will also be live music available, eating contests, a Chihuahua beauty pageant and a kids’ zone.

General admission tickets will be available for $12 online and $15 at the gate, but kids under the age of 12 can get in for free. The tickets will include admission and will allow guests to pay for their food and drinks through their wristband.

On Saturday, there will be a tequila expo offering guests more than 100 types of — what else — tequila for $20 and on Sunday there will also be a margarita expo for $20.

The festival will start at 11 a.m. and end at 7 p.m. on both days.

We want to hear from you.
