PHOENIX — Arizona State University is looking for people with valid medical marijuana prescriptions to participate in a paid study.
Researchers for the pilot study, conducted by the university’s Department of Psychology, are looking for medical marijuana users between the ages of 18 and 30 and who possess a valid Arizona medical marijuana card.
The study, according to the website, “compares the immediate effects of your at-home use of different types of marijuana and takes approximately 10 hours over the course of one week.”
Participants will be asked to come to the lab for a two-hour visit and will be required to complete short surveys throughout the week. Participants will also be required to use their own marijuana in the study.
Researchers want to use the study to “understand the causes, course, and consequences of problematic substance use through longitudinal epidemiological and case-control studies.”
It will be lead by Dr. Madeline Meier, a professor at the university’s psychology department.
Anyone who wants to participate in the study can email THCResearch50@gmail.com or call 480-727-5799 and provide the times you would be available for a 15-minute phone conversation. Participants can earn $95.
