John Mayer tries friendship test on unknowing bar goers

When hanging out at a bar, the golden rule is to slant your seat up against the bar when stepping outside.
Some people aren’t aware of the unwritten rule, and instead leave their friends in charge of saving their seat.
Musician John Mayer tried a “Friendship Test” on the seat-savers to see if they would actually save their friend’s seat if taken by another person.
The man shown in the video does great when another man sits down, but when a woman gets his attention, he forgets all about his friend.
Mayer tests out a woman by trying to take the vacant seat himself, but when she denies him, he rewards her loyalty with passes to one of his concerts.
