Toddler dies after being pulled out of Phoenix pool

PHOENIX — A toddler died Monday after he was pulled out of a backyard pool in Phoenix, police said.
The Phoenix Police Department said it received a call about 7:20 p.m. that the 2-year-old boy who was found in the pool was unresponsive.
The boy was taken from the home near 83rd Avenue and Thomas Road to a local hospital in extremely critical condition. He later died.
The child was visiting the home with family. The pool was not fenced.
