Main Street Minute: Valley restaurant chain Scramble cooking up expansion

• A local restaurant company is expanding. Scramble has announced plans to open a site near 24th Street and Camelback Road in Phoenix in December, and one in Chandler next spring. The locations will feature dog-friendly patios. The breakfast-and-lunch eatery already has spots in Phoenix and Scottsdale.
• More than a dozen companies including Chase, State Farm and Hyatt Regency are taking part in a job fair Thursday in Phoenix. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Friendship Community Church near 48th Street and Elliot Road.
• The state Department of Public Safety has received $600,000 to improve its computerized dispatch. The grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety will be used to replace the aging computer-aided dispatch system.
