Main Street Minute: Job fairs set in Phoenix area Wednesday

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.
• The Phoenix Career Fair kicks off Wednesday at 11 a.m. Hiring managers will be conducting interviews until 2 p.m. at the Hilton Phoenix Airport near 48th Street and University Drive. Attendees should dress professionally.
• A San Diego sandwich restaurant will be joining the casual-food scene in the Valley. Rubicon Deli plans to open a store in Scottsdale on Scottsdale Road near Acoma Drive later this year, and another at Central and Virginia avenues in Phoenix next spring. The Phoenix Business Journal reports the chain wants eventually to have 15 sites in the area.
• More than 50 employers are taking part in a job fair Wednesday south of Phoenix. It runs from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Maricopa Unified School District near the West Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and John Wayne Parkway in Maricopa. The event includes a special session for veterans beginning at 10 a.m.
