Looking for some creative footwear this summer, how about some of these specially designed shoes.
According to the Business Insider, Adidas has commissioned 12 women artists to create a special, one-of-a-kind sneaker that best captures the essences of each state.
The artists were chosen with the help of Refinery29 and used different mediums to recreate iconic state images that are a characteristic of each state including cheese for Wisconson and peaches for Georgia.
For Arizona, there is a shade of yellow turning into orange. According to artist Sophia Chang, she wanted to capture the desert sunset gradient and the colorful cacti that fill it.
The sneakers are currently being sold in an online auction with all proceeds going to Women Win, a charity dedicated to advancing women’s leadership. Individuals looking to place bids in the silent auction should do so before July 11.
